There's No Bull About This Compeitition

How do you cap off a fantastic fair filled with rides, laughs and food? Of course you celebrate with a big juicy steak, or a whole bunch of them cooked by some local youth. It’s the aroma of grilled steak that will bring in the audience, as the Third Annual “Youth” Steak Cook-Off will be getting hot.
The event is open to teenagers 13-19 and must have their own grill. The youth will have one hour to set-up their grill and any table decorations and one 10oz. Rib Eye steak will be supplied by Moore Brothers Beef. Contestants must preregister for the event which is open to the first fifteen who send in their registration forms. Scores will be based on several criteria that include: safety, food handling, taste and seasoning, overall appearance and attractiveness.
Robeson County Commissioner Hubert Sealey and Moore Brothers Natural are sponsoring the event. First place winner receives $100, second receives $75; and third receives $50. Registration forms may be picked up at the Robeson County Cooperative Extension Office in the O.P. Owens Building at 455 Caton Road (NC Hwy 72W) or can be found on line at www.robesoncountyfair.com.
